Dr. Ashraf Seif

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Seif serves as a general dentist near Rollingbrook who is committed to providing the highest quality of oral healthcare to residents living in the area.

As a child, Dr. Seif viewed his dentist as his hero because of the care and attention he provided when treating Dr. Seif’s broken front teeth. With the help of this particular dentist, he overcame his fears of treatment and eventually decided that he, too, wanted to become the kind of dental professional who helps others in times of need.

Growing up in Syria, he earned his dental degree in 1998 from Lattakia University Dental School before going on to practice general dentistry. He then moved to the United States and graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry. While in school, he received an award in aesthetic dentistry as well as an advanced standing in clinical training achievement certificate.

Since then, Dr. Seif has continued to hone his skills and expand his knowledge through continuing education courses focusing on sleep apnea and oral sedation. His interests have also led him to attend the Pikos Institute for dental implant training.

Currently, he is a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Dr. Seif cooking and embracing southern culture as well as spending time with his family and friends.

Had such a great experience here. Dr. Seif and his staff were absolutely amazing with the lady I work for. She has dementia and was having an off day and they were so patient with her. Will definitely refer them to friends and family.

FAQs

How do I get emergency dental care?

If you are suffering from a dental emergency, the first step to getting urgent care is to call Baytown Gentle Dental as soon as possible and let someone on our staff assist you. If you are suffering from a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately.

Most hospital emergency rooms, mobile clinics, and urgent care clinics are not equipped to handle dental emergencies, and thus if you go there, you are unlikely to be treated.

At Baytown Gentle Dental, we offer same-day appointments and are open every weekday.

Dental emergencies are often an important indicator that you may have bigger dental issues present and are an important sign to get back on track with regular oral hygiene and dental care. Regular visits can help you prevent future dental emergencies, which can save you time, money, and your smile!

How much does a dental check-up & cleaning cost in Rollingbrook?

The cost of a dental check-up and cleaning can vary greatly depending on your location and the individual condition of your oral health.

Each check-up and cleaning should begin with a patient health history, as well as discussion of your concerns. You should also receive a thorough examination by your dentist, a professional cleaning, X-rays, and an oral cancer screening.

The average cost for a dental check-up and cleaning in markets across the United States ranges between $200 and $350.

If you have dental insurance, the fees for your check-up and cleaning (including out-of-pocket co-pays) are negotiated with us by the insurance company.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

Here in the United States, all dentists are required to either earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) from one of the country’s 67 accredited dental schools.

Acceptance into dental school requires the student to have earned a bachelor's degree with very high grades in a major that is heavy in both science and mathematics.

Dental school is an additional three years, combining both hands-on and classroom learning. Following dental school, some dentists choose to continue their education by earning one of twelve specializations recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). These require an additional three or more years of dental school training.

Following graduation, all dentists in the United States are required to complete a certain number of continuing education hours in order to maintain their license.
